If there’s one thing I love, it’s a bright and glowy base. I love how pretty and fresh it looks on literally everybody. I used to always find this look extremely challenging to create due to the uneven texture and severe dryness of my skin. However, through trial and error I’ve found the perfect products to achieve that radiant and flawless base that we all strive for.

The first product I use for my base is the Yves Saint Laurent touché éclat. Although this product isn’t going to give you a glow, it’s going to brighten your under eye dramatically making you look much more awake. I have the shade 01 which is a peachy pink colour and is absolutely fab for covering any dark circles and brightening your under eye area. It instantly makes you look like you’ve slept for 10 hours and the pen brush makes it so easy to blend when on the go.

When I first heard of illuminsers I never had high hopes for them. I used to think they were just a way for big company’s to make more money without the products actually doing very much. But when flying to Geneva last year I picked this up in the mac store and haven’t looked back since. After trying it, I was instantly amazed by the beautiful and natural glow it give to my face. It instantly rejuvenated my dull skin and looks super glowy and in no way greasy. I usually mix this in with my foundation or put it on beforehand as a primer and straight away my skin looks naturally radiant. I have found that this product is super similar to Loreal’s LUMI MAGIQUE PRIMER which is a fraction of the cost so definitely check that out as it’s such a great dupe.

When I first tried this concealer I wasn’t very impressed. It just didn’t seem to work for my skin. It sat in my drawer for over a year before I tried it out again and somehow it has now became one of my favourite products ever. It has super high coverage and is absolutely amazing for covering any redness , spots or black circles. I personally find it works best with a wet beauty blender or real techniques sponge. It’s the perfect concealer for creating a bright and glowy base.

This foundation creates the most beautiful glow to the face I have ever seen. The £40 price tag made me reluctant to try it at first but after being kindly bought it for christmas, I don’t think there will ever be a day when I won’t have this foundation in my collection.  It has a light to medium coverage but can be easily built up to create a more flawless base. It literally feels like nothing on the face and does not cling to my many dry patches or aggravate my super sensitive skin in any way. This foundation is an instant pick me up, making my face look much more fresh and rejuvenated. Perfect for those dull winter days.

I hope you enjoyed this little post and let me know in the comments below what your favourite glowy products are! I would love to hear and try out your recommendations.
