MY MOST USED HIGH-END PRODUCTS

In the wonderful world of makeup, it is so easy to become blinded by brand names and buy products that differ in comparison to ones that you could easily pick up at your local Boots store. But occasionally, you find those products that are worth every penny; the ones that you wouldn’t change for the world.

Although finding these products is a challenge and much trial and error is required, eventually finding them is definitely worth the wait.

I wanted to put this post together to take some stress out of the guess work and hopefully help some of you who are looking to expand your high end makeup collection.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIP LINER- PILLOWTALK

What can I say? There is a good reason that this product is so immensely popular. It’s the perfect colour to match your lips and adds definition and fullness without looking to harsh. It’s just one of those products that you know will look fabulous on every time. It’s super creamy on the lips and immensley long lasting. At £16 it’s a great starter product to invest in from the Charlotte Tilbury collection.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIPSTICK- NUDE KATE

I absolutely love a nude lipstick. Who doesn’t? It always looks so classy on everyone and the biggest bonus is that it goes with any makeup look or outfit. If you’re looking for the perfect day to night nude, this one by Charlotte Tilbury definitely fits the bill. The colour, the consistency and the texture are all spot on and the beautiful packaging makes it the most perfect gift.

NARS CREAMY CONCEALER

This concealer is seriously amazing. It has super high coverage meaning it is perfect for concealing any bad skin days or hiding any dark circles. I use it almost everyday, blending it with a wet real techniques sponge and the difference it makes to my makeup is crazy. I love, love, love this product.

GIORGIO ARMANI LUMINIOUS SILK FOUNDATION

If there’s one high end foundation you must buy, its got to be this one. I’ve struggled with extremely sensitive skin for many years and after discovering this, it was like my prayers had been answered to. It is extremely buildable and surprisingly does not cling to my many dry patches unlike every other foundation I have ever used. It leaves the skin with the most gorgeous glow you’ve ever seen and is incredibly light weight on the skin. The coverage looks flawless in photos so it’s the perfect product for any upcoming events. My only downfall to this product is the £40 price tag, however the quality of the product over rules the price in my eyes.

CLAIRNS INSTANT LIGHT RADIANCE BOOSTING COMPLEXION BASE

I first discovered this product in duty free and thought it would be perfect for me. A luminous, perfecting base just screams Katie. However, upon trying it I wasn’t too impressed. It seemed to have little effect and didn’t really improve my foundation application. After 9 months of it sitting in my drawer I thought I would give it another chance. And somehow it has became one of my holy grail products. It gives such a subtle glow to the face and looks super pretty under foundation or even without it. It’s the perfect product to achieve that “no makeup” makeup look.

YVES SAINT LAURENT TOUCHE ECLAT

I’ve talked about this item numerous times now on my blog. But I just can’t rave about it enough. It instantly makes any dark circles under your eye disappear whilst leaving the skin look natural. It’s a must for any makeup bag.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments below what your most used high end products are. I would love to hear your recommendations!

Thank you so much! I also love the YSL Touche Eclat foundation – its the perfect mixture of matte and glowy. Another favourite of mine is the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue which is super light weight on the skin and perfect for everyday. Hope this helps!
