Over the years, I have accumulated many concealers and came to the conclusion that currently high end brands are killing the game more than drugstore. Unfortunately, it seems that the more expensive brands have a much better variety of shades available. I don’t know about you, but it’s almost impossible to find a concealer in Superdrug or Boots that is suitable for pale skin. Even the lightest of shades are far too dark for my fair complexion.

Paying £20 for a concealer seems to be the norm for me and I honestly do not mind as long as the product works. And luckily (after much expense) I have found three amazing concealers which work wonders every time.

Bare Minerals Concealer

This is my most recent concealer and currently my favourite. It has super great coverage and blends into the skin beautifully. I have the lightest shade which matches my skin tone perfectly and is great for days when I can’t be bothered with foundation. I find the product works best blended with a wet real techniques sponge to fully press the concealer into the skin.

Mac Pro Concealer

I’ve used this concealer for years and it truly is one of the best. Its called Pro Longwear and for good reason. Once it’s on, its there for the day. Both my mum and sister have been obsessed with the product since first discovering it.  The consistency of the product is quite thick yet feels extremely lightweight on the face. It’s perfect for concealing dark circles without creasing and covers blemishes with ease. My only complaint is that you have to be quite quick with blending the product as it dries extremely quickly.  I would highly recommend this concealer if you have a super light complexion as the shade range is amazing and unlike other brands the Mac concealer does not oxidise.

Nars Creamy Concealer

If you’ve clicked on my blog before, you’ll know how much I love this concealer. Initially, I found the product extremely hard to blend but after trial and error, the product has became one of my holy grails. The formula is super thick making it perfect for covering redness or spots. I tend to use this product on bad skin days as the coverage is very full. I use the shade Chanitilly which is also amazing for highlighting under the eye.

Let me know in the comments below what you thought are on these concealers and if you have any recommendations.

I love the Collection concealer from the drugstore! Super cheap but great coverage. Aww thats so annoying it didn’t work for you- would highly recommend the Mac Pro longwear if you’re looking to try another one 🙂
