MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP

The less makeup I can do in the morning, the better. Don’t get me wrong, I love makeup (after 9am) but the idea of putting on a full eye look first thing is one which daunts me. So for everyday I like to keep my makeup super simple and natural – pretty much all I can achieve in my dedicated ten minute time slot.

Mac Strobe Cream

This is a product I’ve loved for years. It’s the perfect base to create luminous, healthy looking skin without looking like a disco ball.  I find it works best using it as a primer and then on the top of the cheekbones as a natural highlight. You can now buy various colours in the strobe cream range meaning it’s the perfect product for every skin tone. For my pale skin, I use the original shade and blend it in with a wet real techniques sponge. A great dupe for the product is the Loreal Lumi Magique Primer which literally does the exact same job at half the price.

Bare Minerals Concealer

I recently mentioned this product in my last blog post but I just can’t get enough of it. The coverage of the concealer is amazing and blends like a dream into the skin. The formula is so great that it has been substituting my foundation on natural makeup days. I’ve been using the concealer under my eyes, on any blemishes and around my nose and chin.

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation

I recently wrote a blog post all about this foundation so definitely check that out if you want the full run down. But basically, this foundation can be summarised into one sentence- Perfection in a bottle. The formula is super lightweight, extremely radiant and the coverage is amazing. What more could you want in a foundation?

Loreal Brow Powder

If you, like me have blonde hair then you’ll know the struggle of finding an eyebrow shade to match our tricky hair colour. But worry no more, this taupe powder is perfect for creating a natural brow look. I apply the product very lightly and then make sure to brush the brow hairs with a spoole to make sure the product is blended evenly.

Ciate London X Olivia Palmero Bronzer/ Blush duo

If you’re look for a natural, buildable bronzer, then look no further. This Ciate bronzer is the perfect shade for lightly contouring your cheekbones- not too orange nor too brown.

Hourglass Blush in Luminious Flush

I’m sorry for the spam of pictures of this blush on my Instagram, but it’s just too pretty not to post. The gold particles in the blush add the prettiest radiance to the cheeks and the colour is most definitely perfect for summer. The blush is also super pigmented meaning it lasts forever. I’ve had mine for nearly two years and have still not even dented the top. The blush is more expensive than other brands but the quality completely over rules the price tag.

Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter

If I had to recommend one highlighter for pale skin, this would one hundred percent be it. The colour is a beautiful champagne gold that effortlessly creates the most stunning glow to the face. It’s extremely buildable, so you can achieve a subtle or full on glow. I apply the product with the Sigma Tapered Highlighter Brush onto the top of my cheekbones, brow bone, cupids bow, nose and inner corner of my eyes for an overall radiant look. The powder is immensely pigmented and lasts all day without fail.

Loreal Lipstick in Jlo’s Nude

This lipstick by Loreal is definitely one of my favourites. The formula is extremely creamy and moisturising without feeling sticky. The lipstick is genuinely the perfect nude for everyday- the perfect combination of pink and brown. At £6.99 you really can’t go wrong.

Benefit They’re Real Tinted Mascara in Brown

I’m definitely not an expert on mascaras. I  honestly don’t think you can tell a £7.99 mascara from Boots over a £25 one. But after recently discovering this tinted mascara by Benefit, I realised how wrong I was. As my complexion is fairly pale, I like to use brown mascaras as I feel they don’t look as harsh on the skin. So when this Benefit one came through the post in an Elle magazine, I was delighted. It adds volume and colour to the lashes without clumping and still looks super natural. I will definitely being buying the full size version once my mini one runs out.

I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments below what your favorite everyday products are. I would love to try them!

Love, Katie X
