I’m all about the “no makeup” makeup look. As much as I love makeup, I’m not a person who likes a super full coverage foundation or goes ‘crazy’ with the eye makeup. Don’t get me wrong, I’m always marvelled how beauty youtubers create such amazing looks, I just think I don’t personally suit it. I don’t even even tend to wear black mascara as it tends looks too harsh on my complexion. So I usually opt for a super natural makeup look that can be dressed up from day to night.

Clairns Instant Light Boosting Primer

I’ve used this product for years and it’s not going anywhere soon. It’s the perfect product to apply under your foundation as it adds a soft, subtle glow that can still be seen under your foundation. This one by Clairns is a beautiful pinky colour which looks extremely natural on the face and blends into the skin beautifully.

Nars Tinted Moisturiser

I know, I know! I’m mentioning this in yet another post but I just had to include it. When wanting to achieve a natural base stray away from foundations as they can look too heavy and can cake the face. I love to use a bb cream or tinted moisturiser for everyday as it is super light weight on the face yet still has great coverage. This one by Nars is my new all time favourite as it also adds the perfect amount of glow to the complexion. Another great quality of this foundation is its amazing staying power. Once applied it doesn’t budge until you remove it with a cleanser.

Mac Strobe Cream

When wanting to create a super subtle makeup look, I tend to use a liquid highlighter as it looks so much more natural than using a powder. Mac strobe cream is great for adding a lovely, luminous glow to the tops of the cheek bones. Mac have recently introduced a new range of colour options for the strobe cream range meaning it’s the perfect product for every skin tone. A great dupe for this product is the Loreal Lumi Maqique primer which does the exact same thing at half of the price.

Loreal Brow Artist Genius Kit

I recently rediscovered this product and I cannot stop using it. If you like me have blonde hair then you’ll know the struggle of finding a brow colour to match our tricky shade. The colour has completely transformed my brow routine as the shade is just absolutely spot on-not too orange nor too ashy. The product is extremely buildable yet can be used lightly to create a soft, natural brow. You definitely need to give it a try if you’ve got light coloured hair!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

As I mentioned before, I don’t tend to use black mascara. And to my surprise, it’s pretty hard to find a brown mascara. However, after strolling around my local Boots, I stumbled across this one by Maybelline. The colour is perfect for my pale complexion as it still looks extremely natural. I never apply much mascara, just enough to create a fluttery lash.

Nars Blush

As you will all know by now, I’m a sucker for a good blush. I’ve tried so many brands and one that I always come back to is this one by Nars. The colour is absolutely perfect for adding a natural flush to the cheeks and the gold particles means it adds a lovely natural, glow to the face.

Loreal Lipstick Jlo’s Nude

Jlo’s nude by Loreal is the perfect lipstick for creating that “no makeup” makeup look. The shade is extremely natural and it’s super moisturising on the lips. At £6.99 it’s an absolute steal.

I hope you enjoyed this little post and let me know in the comments below what your favourite products are for creating the “no makeup” makeup look.

Love always, Katie Xx
