Zoeva has been a brand that I’ve been lusting over for quite some time. So last week, I finally took the plunge and decided to order my first Zoeva palette. I was indecisive on whether to purchase an eyeshadow palette or cheek palette but finally decided on the “Basic Moment” face palette as I knew I would get a lot more use out of it.

The first thing that I noticed about the palette is how budget friendly it is. At £13.50 you get three products in one- a highlighter, bronzer and a blush. Even many drugstore brands couldn’t beat that price. Apart from the price, another attractive quality of the palette was it’s shades that are suitable for even the palest of skin tones. The struggle of finding a palette in which all shades are usable for my complexion is very much real.

Yet To Come

The shade I was most looking forward to trying was defintley the blush. If you’ve read my blog before, you’ll know how obbsesed I am with blushes. I have an evergrowing collection that just keeps getting bigger by the day. So being very fussy with my blushes, I didn’t know what to expect from the product. However, the shade is exactly spot on. It’s a perfect peachy pink that is suitable for all year round and adds a lovely, healthy flush to the cheeks. The formula of the product is extremely velvety and glides onto the face like a dream. It’s completely matte which is great for an ultra natural makeup look.

Liquid Gold

I was also super excited to try the highlighter as I love that extra little glow during winter. The product is a super pretty gold/champagne colour that is extremely pigmented and applys beautifully on to the skin. I like to apply the product with my Sigma F35 brush which is perfectly angled to precisely hit the top of the cheekbones. I also tried applying the product as an eyeshadow which worked beautifully and I know will be perfect for the fast approaching christmas season.

The contour powder is also a lovely shade. It is a slightly darker colour than I usually opt for so I woud reccomend using a light application if you’ve got a fair complexion. The colour is very similar to the Anastasia Beverley Hills bronzer in the shade ‘Java’. The product creates a chisled, sculpted look without looking too harsh or unnatural . They also blend extremely easily and very quickly unlike many other contour powders. I’ve been wearing it everyday since I recieved the palette.

Overall, I would thoroughly reccomend trying this palette if you’re looking for something versatile, compact or simply just want to treat yourself. I will definitley be purchasing more Zoeva products in the not so distant future so if you have tried and loved any, I would love to hear your reccomendations.

Love always, Katie Xx
