I have to admit that half the time I long for products simply for their packaging. I know, I know. You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but sometimes it’s hard to resist when it comes to makeup. Especially if YSL is involved.
Like the rest of us I have an ongoing wishlist of beauty products that gets items added more often than not. And I’m so grateful that many products were ticked off the list thanks to the previous christmas. Today I wanted to share with you these products that I’ve pretty much been wearing non stop since recieveing them.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in First Love
Charlotte Tilbury just pulls it out of the bag every time. I can honestly say I have never tried any product of hers that I have not loved. So I was so excited and grateful to receive this from my parents for christmas. I actually bought this for my sister for her Christmas present so we’ve been currently matching in our makeup for the past few weeks. I initially thought the colour looked extremely subtle (even for me) but when applied it creates the most gorgeous and natural flush to the cheeks. It’s a beautiful nudey beige which is perfect for anyone who is usually opposed to flushed cheeks. I can tell it’s going to be a new staple in my everyday makeup routine.
Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Pencil Truffle
You may remember I wrote a blog post on this product titled ‘The Perfect Eyeshadow for Everyday’ stating how desperate I was to buy more of these. And lucky for me I got one in my stocking in the colour ‘truffle’. What I love most about this product is how easy it is to use. All you have to do is “swipe and go”. So simple. The colour range is absolutely fab too with 18 shades to choose from ranging from nudes to slightly smokier colours. The eyeshadow lasts all day without a primer and has never creased on my eyelids. It’s lifesaver for those awfully early mornings.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine 44
This lipstick has been on my wish list for years so it’s fair to say I was super suprised to open the little golden box on christmas day. Obviously I had to put it on straight away and I’ve been in love ever since. Firstly, the colour is the most gorgeous nudey pink which is just perfect for everyday. The formula is also unlike any others I’ve ever tried, extremely creamy yet not greasy. The colour payoff is extremely subtle which is perfect when creating the ‘no makeup’ makeup look. I just wish I tried it earlier. I can personally guartantee and confirm that it’s just as beautiful on the inside as the outside.
I would love to know in the comments if you received or bought any beauty products and if you have any recommendations.
