First of all I would like to say a massive apology for being the worse blogger ever. I’ve had such a stressful few months and I simply couldnt bring myself to do anything. But I’m back and feeling more ready than ever to get back into the blogging game. So let’s begin..
There’s not many products that I love so much, I end up repurchasing. So when I do buy again, it’s always pretty special. Most repurchases tend to be skincare as they run out a lot faster than makeup. As I like to vary the beauty products I use on a daily basis, it takes me ages to go through anything like a bronzer or a blush. However, I have many products that I know for certain will always be lurking in the top of my makeup bag.
Clairns Instant Light Radiance Boosting Base
I bought this product over a year ago and there is still a good few pumps left. I took a break from this product for while to try and test new products but ended up reverting back to this primer after suffering from several breakouts. It’s extremely great for sensitive skin like mine and although it is pink toned it does not highlight any redness on the face. Instead it illuminates and adds radiance face without making the face look shiny. You can use it under your foundation and on good skin days I wear it on its own with a bit of concealer. It truly is a miracle worker for adding life to your skin on dull days.
YSL Touche Elat Foundation
I hate to think of the amount of money I’ve spent trying new high end foundations. I find it extremely hard to find a product that ticks all the boxes. However, one buy which certainly paid off was the YSL Touche Eclat Foundation. Last summer I splurged all of my Boots points on this one product hoping it was going to be the answer to my prayers. And I can confirm it has been. The formula is just so lightweight and glowy leaving the skin looking instantly refreshed and revitilised. It is super pigmented without being full coverage meaning it covers any redness or spots with ease while still not looking cakey. Two pumps are all I need to cover a full face. I tend to switch between this foundation and the Nars Tinted Moisturiser for everyday. This foundation is must have in my makeup bag.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminious Flush
If you’ve read katiesday before you’ll have known that this of course had to be included in this post. I’ve tried so many blushes and very few can compare to this blush. I’ve had mine for over a year and a half and it’s still nowhere near pan. It is extremely pigmented so you only need a tiny bit of product when applying. The colour is just the perfect rosey pink for adding a natural flush to the cheeks. The blush also has a gold speckle running through it leaving the skin looking radiant and effortlessly glowy.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Cheek Blusher in First Love
I only got this blush this previous christmas but it has already became a favourite that I must carry with me at all times. I know I just raved about the Hourglass blush for being one of my favourites ever but this one has to be a close second. I’m usually all about the glow so it was surprising that I love this product so much. I tend to use this product when I want to achieve the ultimate “no makeup” makeup look. It’s the most subtle peachy colour that’s super long lasting and completely matte. I can already tell I’m gonna end up buying all the shades available.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick
I am an absoulte sucker for anything YSL. There’s something just so special opening the little gold box- such a lovely treat. I have tried many of their products throughout the years and as much as I love them all, this is definitely reaching the top of the list. I cannot imagine not having this lipstick in my collection. It’s the perfect pinky nude that can be worn from day to-night. The formula has to be the best I’ve tried- so hydrating and glossy without feeling greasy. I’ve been wearing it non stop.
I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments below what are your must have products in your makeup bag.
